[UPDATE @ 10:45 a.m. on 8/11/2020] The 120 fire has been renamed the Grizzly Creek Fire and now has over 120 firefighters working to contain the blaze. Firefighters are working to keep the fire away from the No Name drainage. Aircrafts will continue to aid in battling this fire so please keep all drones out of the area.

Firefighters are currently scouting areas for containment lines on top in the Flattops, as well as evacuating people from the Coffee Pot Road area and other close by areas.

I-70 remains closed between Glenwood Springs and Gypsum with no estimated time for reopening.

I-70 is currently shut down due to the 120 Fire at mile marker 120 in the eastbound lane.

Glenwood Fire initially tweeted about the fire at 1:35 p.m. on Monday, August 20. According to local news sources, the fire is approximately 50 acres.

Shortly after, they tweeted they requested a shut down of the interstate --which has since been instated -- and air support was on its way.

Briar Ranch and Grizzly Creek have been ordered to evacuate.

I-70 is closed in both directions from mile markers 116 to 133.

In other fire news, the Pine Gulch Fire is currently burning 20 miles north of Grand Junction and has consumed more than 25,000 acres and is 7% contained.
