Elderly Lady’s Wallet Ripped-Off by ‘Smoking Woman’
An elderly lady didn't have a way to pay for her items at a Grand Junction store. The reason? A woman stole her wallet.
Stealing a little old lady's wallet is horrible, but this thief took it one step further by fraudulently paying for her own purchases at the same store where the wallet was stolen.
The theft happened on December 28, 2016, at Walmart 2881 North Avenue. The thief also used the stolen credit card at other stores in Grand Junction charging over $500 in purchases before the card could be reported as stolen and canceled.
The Grand Junction Police Department and the city's honest citizens want this crook behind bars. If you recognize 'smoking woman' or know anything about this theft, contact the police.
