Girls Take a Spin on the ‘Devil’s Wheel’ During Munich’s Oktoberfest [VIDEO]
This festival ride is one of the things you'd find in Germany as a part of their Oktoberfest celebration. While we won't have one at Grand Junction's Oktoberfest --they're very rare these days -- we will have this much fun.
The ride, called a Teufelsrad or Devil's Wheel is a large slippery disc contestants try to ride on. Think of it as a kind of musical chairs on a merry-go-round with obstacles. The idea is to stay as close to the center as possible to avoid being thrown off the disc (the science of centrifugal force and inertia in action).
For the Grand Junction Oktoberfest celebration take a spin dancing to some great German music, German food, contests and much more.
