Denver Dog Doors are an Open Invitation to Cat Burglar

Dog owners have found the installation of a door that allows their pet to go in and out of the house a great idea. That is, until the door is used by a cat burglar to sneak in and rob the home.

Over the last few weeks there have been several burglaries in the Highlands Ranch area where the thief gained entry to the home through a dog door.

In an interview with CBS 4 in Denver, Greg Mueller, one of the victims said the night he was robbed every door in the house was locked except one, the dog door. Mueller also said, "There's really no way to lock a plastic slab doggie door."

Police have no suspects in the case, but believe the suspect has to be pretty small to be able to fit through a dog door.
