Colorado State Highway 141 from Whitewater to Naturita will be closed on Wednesday (September 16) and part of Thursday (September 17).

Full closure of the highway is expected to last from 6:00 p.m. Wednesday through 6:00 a.m. Thursday.

During the closure, the Union Pacific Railroad (UPR) and Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be performing safety critical work on the railroad tracks that run along and across the highway near Whitewater.

Once the initial work is completed Thursday morning, CDOT will be paving where the work was done. During that time, motorists can expect full stops of up to 20 minutes, delays, and single-lane alternating traffic.
