No Mediation Says Colorado Springs School on Transgender Girl

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A Colorado Springs-area school district is refusing mediation with the family of a transgender girl who wants to return to school.

Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 officials are not commenting on the complaint by the family of 6-year-old Coy Mathis, who was sent home from Eagleside Elementary School after being denied access to the girl's bathroom.
