A Colorado pilot survived a plane crash and then captured his rescue on video as he bobbed up and down in the ocean water.

The pilot, David Lesh of Denver, and a passenger were not injured when the plane he was flying sustained engine failure and crashed into the Pacific Ocean off the San Francisco coast.

The couple suffered jellyfish stings as they treaded water waiting for rescue crews to arrive,  but otherwise, amazingly, were not harmed.

Lesh, an experienced pilot was indeed fortunate to survive the crash. The video he captured gives the rest of us an idea of what it was like to be in that helpless and perilous situation.
