Colorado National Monument Excursion Soured by Theft
A person who parked at the Colorado National Monument Lower Liberty Cap Trailhead returned to their vehicle and found that someone had stolen items from inside it.
To make matters worse, the thieves used the victim's credit cards to to charge over $2,600 for items at the North Avenue Walmart and Safeway store at 29 Road and Patterson.
The theft happened on August 7 and the National Park Service along with Grand Junction law enforcement agencies are looking for three suspects, two women and one man, who were reported to be driving a 2016 or 2017 magnetic grey Toyota Rav4 XLE at the time the fraudulent purchases were made.
