A homeless Colorado man may be seeing his luck changing after winning $500,000 on a scratch off lottery ticket.

Newser reports Michael Engfors, of Aspen, was a big winner when he purchased a $10 scratch off ticket at a gas station. A regular player of the lottery, Engfors finally hit it big.

A regular player of the lottery, Enfors had cashed in $1 and $2 winners, but never the big money. After learning he had won half a million dollars, Engfor went to spend one final weekend on the floor of a church that apparently was his shelter.

He says he hopes to use the money to reconcile with his daughter, whom he hasn't seen in some 20 years.

Hopefully, this windfall will help get this man back on the right track and on the road to a better life.
