With only 15 Colorado stores remaining, it sounds like the Bed Bath & Beyond story is about to come to a close with all of the retail giant's stores expected to close for good.

Bed Bath & Beyond Expected To Close All 15 Colorado Locations

Let's start by asking how a store goes from being the centerpiece to an entire Adam Sandler movie, to dying 10+ years later. Remember this scene?

I can open my phone right now and find a 20% off coupon good for any one purchase at Bed Bath & Beyond. Sadly, after many decades of being the go-to for everything bed, bath, and beyond, just as their name states, this once mega-franchise is likely coming to an end. On Sunday, April 23rd, Bed Bath & Beyond filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, which is almost the beginning of the end for giant businesses like this one.

While closing down is not always the case, the things they're doing in their stores lead us to believe that they also see the writing on the wall and that even if they came out of the bankruptcy intact, it would never be as it currently is. Here are some important dates and deadlines for the remaining Bed Bath & Beyond locations in Colorado.

Important Things To Know About Bed Bath & Beyond Closures

  • Starting Wednesday, April 26th, all store items will be marked down to sale prices (but are they really "sales?"), but will not be returnable. (Unless purchased before April 26th)
  • Coupons will no longer be accepted as of April 26th
  • Rewards are redeemable until May 15th, 2023.
  • If you have gift cards, you need to use them before May 8th or they will no longer be accepted.
  • All current registries at Bed Bath & Beyond will be transferred to a similar competitor.

buybuy BABY To Close All Colorado Locations

In addition to Bed Bath & Beyond's impending doom, as we reported yesterday here, their "sister" store, buybuy BABY will also begin a similar closing sale process as all Colorado locations, including Fort Collins, are expected to close their door sometime this summer. Another couple of huge and popular chains bite the dust. What's next? Below are some other awesome Colorado businesses we've said goodbye to in the last year or so.
