Celebrate Grand Junction Fire Department’s 125th Anniversary With a Look Back at Yesterday’s Heroes [VIDEO]

Grand Junction recently celebrated the 125th anniversary of the establishment of its fire department. Take a look at Grand Junction firefighters from the 1940's through the 1970's via the lens of late Daily Sentinel photographer Robert Grant.

We apologize if the subject matter, specifically buildings and houses on fire, happens to involve property which might be yours. If it's any consolation, the photos of the fire at A-1 Muffler affect my family directly. That was my dad's muffler shop at the time of the fire back in the 1960's.
