A great event to do with the entire family is camping.  This Saturday (May 10) you can get a free night of camping at the Black Canyon National Park KOA campground. This is a BOGO promotion.

By contacting participating KOA campgrounds to reserve a spot for both Friday and Saturday nights, you will only have to pay for one night of camping.

Money raised during this weekend help send children with cancer to KOA Care Camps across North America. These 56 specialized, medically equipped facilities offer a true summer camp experience to children undergoing treatment or recovering from cancer.

Kampgrounds of America is celebrating over 50 years of being a top destination of campers around the world. They have the world’s largest group of family-friendly campgrounds and can be found right in our backyard.

When I was growing up I would go camping with my parents each summer. We would always go to some lake to spend a week fishing, swimming, hiking, swatting bugs and burning marshmallows. These are some of my favorite memories I have with my family.

Some of the most relaxing and educational times come from sitting around the fire on a nice night with your family telling stories and just talking.

If you want to take advantage of the free night and reserve a site go to KOA.com and click on the big weekend event box. It’s time to pack up the family and all the gear and head out into the mountains to relax and have some fun while leaving the electronics at home.
