You Get to Select Music for Grand Junction Rockestra’s ‘People’s Choice’ Concert

The Grand Junction Rockestra is celebrating their 5th birthday, and they're doing it with a concert featuring music by the audience. That's right, you get to select the concert's programming. Vote now in the "Audience Choice" poll conducted (pun intended) by the GJ Rockestra.

"The Best of Rockestra" concert makes its way to the CMU Plaza on August 20 at 7:30 in the evening. This is a free concert.

If you are not familiar with the ensemble, the GJ Rockestra is a "Rock orchestra," complete with strings, woodwinds, brass, and of course, electric guitars and drum kits. Over the last five years, the GJ Rockestra has performed music from ZZ Top, Van Halen, The Beatles, Motorhead, Def Leppard, and more.

You have a tough job ahead of you when it comes to making your selections for the concert. The Rockestra has a set list consisting of hundreds of songs. To cast your votes, LIKE the Rockestra on Facebook. Voting is underway now.

The concert is free and open to the public. You are encouraged to bring your lawn chair or blanket. If you would like to sit in the ROCKSTAR VIP tent, there is a $20 charge. With the VIP seats, food and beverage service, including beer and wine, is included in the price.
