It has been a rough few months in Colorado. While the country faces COVID-19 challenges, Coloradans are watching their state burn.

Its been two months of smoke and ash filled air with the hope that the Cameron Peak Fire, about 30 miles West of Fort Collins, will soon be extinguished. We've watched it grow to be the state's largest fire in Colorado history.

In fact, 2020 has brought three of Colorado's largest fires in history. The Cameron Peak Fire is first and the East Troublesome Fire is second.

Jared Polis addressed the state on Thursday evening following the escalation of the East Troublesome Fire.
