Have you had a chance to watch the live stream of the City of Grand Junction's Community Briefings? These are available to you periodically at the city's Facebook page.

At the bottom of this post you'll find the video from yesterday's (March 23) briefing. These are typically about ten minutes long, featuring several local representatives. Please note: these stream live, and as a result, there may be several minutes of "downtime" on your screen before the presentation begins. In the example below, you can fast forward to roughly 6:01 for the start of the briefing.

You can also find text with information from the briefing with the GJCityNews. Topics from the March 23, 2020 briefing and GJCityNews included:

  • Coordination with Mesa County Public Health
  • Essential Services Remain Open
  • Maintenance of Critical Infrastructure

The City of Grand Junction will continue to update the community on any changes to services. Please visit their COVID-19 response page or the city's Facebook and Twitter accounts for updates.

Keep in mind you can also watch Grand Junction City Council meetings online. Yesterday, the city hosted a special council meeting at 6 p.m. Prior to the meeting, this statement was issued:

While City Hall remains open for limited operations, we encourage the public to watch tonight's meeting from home.

Grand Junction City Council meetings can also be viewed on cable channel 191 or via live stream at www.gjcity.org.

Here's you chance to stay in touch with your civic leaders without having to leave the comfort and safety of your home. If you don't catch them live, you can still watch the footage anytime via the city's Facebook page.
