Apparently, since it only lasted one season. Personally, "The Flash" was one of only two TV shows I ever went out of way for back in the early 1990's. Was the show really that bad?

IMDb's customer user rating gives it a 7.3 out of 10. Not too shabby. Unfortunately, the show had to face some stiff competition in the form of "The Simpsons" and the even for fearsome "Cosby Show." After receiving the "Star Trek" treatment and getting bounced from time slot to time slot, "The Flash" was ultimately cancelled in its first season.

With all of "The Flash" reboots coming in the near future, namely the new TV show and the movie, one has to wonder what direction the character will take. There is tremendous chatter amongst the fans wondering if the new versions will be as bad as the 1990's television show.

Is there legitimate cause for concern? Would it be so bad if the new versions followed in the footsteps of the 1990's series?

Please observe: In this scene, Barry (The Flash) is responsible for making a sonic boom. Gross.
