COVID-19 continues to impact the lives of Mesa County residents.

New visitor restrictions have been enacted by local hospitals and medical care facilities. Here's what you need to know before you go.

ST. MARY'S HOSPITAL
Anyone with respiratory symptoms including cough, sore throat, aches, and fever are strictly forbidden from visiting patients in the hospital. All visitors are being screened for fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Individuals with these symptoms will not be allowed into the hospital.

These restrictions go into place along with other guidelines in place including no children under the age of 18, two visitors at a time, and one-visitor restrictions in certain areas including oncology and baby units.

COMMUNITY HOSPITAL
Visitors should use the main hospital entrance on the west side of the building or the Medical Office Building entrance on the east side. For medical emergencies, patrons should use the emergency department entrance on the south side of the building.

No visitors under the age of 18 are allowed and here is a limit of 2 adult visitors per patient.

GRAND JUNCTION V.A. MEDICAL CENTER
All visitors seeking treatment are being screened for signs of respiratory illness and exposure to COVID-19. Guests should arrive 30 minutes prior to appointment time and should come alone unless assistance from a caregiver is medically necessary. No one under the age of 18 is permitted inside the facility and visitation is limited.

WEST SPRINGS HOSPITAL
In-person visitation has been suspended. Families and friends of patients are encouraged to visit by phone.

MIND SPRINGS HEALTH
The facility is open for in-person therapy, but anyone not feeling well or exhibiting symptoms of illness should stay home and call for telehealth therapy.
