It's hard to imagine an amusement park without electricity and the rides being human- powered. What's even more unbelievable is someone figured out how to build it.

Ai Pioppi Playground, north of Venice, Italy is home to incredible human-powered rides including the Bicycle of Death, a tumbling swinging bridge and even a roller coaster.

The rides, described as kinetic art, are in a playground next to the Ai Pioppi Restaurant. The park's art, exhibits, sculptures - whatever you want to call it - are free to patrons of the restaurant, but are also ride at your own risk. There are no ride attendants to ensure your safety.

The concept is the brainchild of a man named Bruno as a way of of providing entertainment for his customers. The park started with a giant slide. Over the course of 40 years, Bruno built more rides with even complex designs.

If you're travelling as far as Venice, why not take a scenic drive, grab a bite to eat and power yourself through some rides in this beautiful, unbelievable place. If you're squeamish, it might be better to ride first, then eat.
