Top Five Wedding Venues in the Grand Valley

Getting married is a big deal, it's a special time, and where the blessed event happens can make the day all the more special. Western Colorado is a great place to tie the knot, and here's a look at five top wedding venues in the Grand Valley.

Sometimes a church wedding is the right choice for a couple. But, there seems to be a growing trend of non-traditional weddings, and in Western Colorado, why not take advantage of the built-in scenery that surrounds us. We asked R and R Events and Design for their best suggestions and here's what we came up with.

The Colorado National Monument provides an awesome backdrop for an outdoor wedding. Just don't get too close to the edge, and be sure and get a special use permit from the Park Service.

Two Rivers Winery is absolutely beautiful during the summer time, and is elegant and classy both inside and outside. You've got a gorgeous back drop of the Monument, and what's really cool is that you can rent the entire space, and have accommodations for your wedding party.

If you want a real mountain backdrop, Powderhorn is the perfect place, and you don't have to travel far. They have on-site catering options, a full bar, and townhouses you could rent for the weekend.

Here's an option that lands somewhere between a church ceremony and the outdoor in nature wedding. You've got plenty of room, great flexibility with decorations, wonderful food, and some great outdoor "city" photos with lots of great trees and backdrops.
