Most people go to Bookcliff Country Club for golf, tennis, swimming or a bite to eat. However, there were some people who wanted something completely different.

According to Crime Stoppers of Mesa County, these 'visitors' to the country club wanted to experience the maintenance side of the club and in the process stole almost $5,000 worth of tools.

The theft occurred sometime between 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 14 and 6 a.m. Monday, May 15.

Items stolen from the Bookcliff Country Club maintenance shop at 2730 G Road include numerous DeWalt and Craftsman hand and power tools, 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch drive air ratchets, and a digital tachometer.

If you have information that could help police solve this case, you can make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers at 241-7867. Reports can also be anonymously filed on the Crime Stoppers website or through the P3 Tips app.

If the information provided results in the arrest of the suspects, you'll be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 without revealing your identity.
