The Fourth of July parade that takes place every year in downtown Grand Junction has been canceled.

We emceed the 37th annual Parade of Lights this past weekend in downtown Grand Junction and had so much fun.

For the Grand Junction Lions Club, it's the biggest day of the year.

And you thought Tour de Corgi was the cutest event in Colorado (and it's still definitely on the list). This weekend, one event in Breckenridge gave the corgis a run for their money.

Parades are a part of many towns' Fourth of July celebration and there are several parades to choose from in Western Colorado. So, don your red, white, and blue and celebrate Independence Day with a patriotic parade.

Last week we reported there may not be a July 4th parade in Grand Junction this year unless there was a group willing to take over the organizing of the parade. The good news this week is the parade is on, and the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra will make sure it happens.

Let's unofficially kick off Spring and the start of the cycling season with a look back at Grand Junction bicyclists from 1947 through 1949.
