The Colorado Mesa University men's basketball team heads to the NCAA Division II tournament this weekend, but there will be no fans in the stands.

It was a very special weekend for the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks.

The Colorado Mesa Mavericks have landed two division one basketball transfers for the 2016-17 season including a native of Poland.

The nationally ranked Lady Mavericks lost for the first time this season, and the men fell for the fifth time. The Women's team is ranked #4 in the USA Today WBCA Division II poll.

The CMU Lady Maverick's basketball team, ranked nationally for week 8 at #4 in the USA Today/WBCA poll, improved their record to 17-0 this weekend. The CMU Men's basketball team also swept the weekend and improved to 13-4.
