Suspect Sought in Grand Junction Drive-By Shooting
Authorities are searching for a suspect in a drive-by shooting in southeast Grand Junction that left one man injured.
The Mesa County Sheriff's Department reports the shooting happened on Saturday (August 4) around 5 a.m. in the 450 block of Countryside Lane. when Sheriff's Deputies arrived on scene, they found a home with multiple gunshots to the garage area.
They also found an 18-year-old male who had been hit by one of the gunshots in the upper body. He was taken by private vehicle to the hospital. It was determined the wound was serious but not life threatening.
Sheriff's Office Investigators gathered evidence and interviewed witnesses at the time of the shooting and believe this is an isolated incident.
