Surprising October’s Teacher of the Month at Rim Rock Elementary

Every month we like to surprise our Teacher of the Month by showing up to their classroom with a whole bunch of prizes. October's Teacher of the Month, Beth Butterfield, had no idea that we were coming in and you can tell by her reaction.

Not only did we have some help from Rim Rock Elementary's Principal, Beth Butterfield's husband was also there for the surprise.

The principal, the teacher's husband, and the Mix 104.3 crew walked into her class and interrupted Mrs. Butterfield with a major surprise.

In front of the whole class, we congratulated her for being voted October's Teacher of the Month. Then we awarded her with the following prizes:

• $50 gift card to Village Inn
• $50 Visa gift card courtesy of Farmers Insurance - the Josh DeWitt Agency
• $20 Starbucks gift card and an insulated tumbler from Carville's Automart
• A one-hour massage from Rimrock Wellness
• Fresh fruit bouquet from Willy's Wild Carvings (which was hard to not devour)
• Skating party for 30 people at Spin City
• Pizza party at the Garlic Knot
• $50 Visa gift card from Brigette Targett with Targett and Associations Insurance Solutions
• Teacher of the Month plaque from Impact Promotional Products

I even had a student walk up to me and tell me that his mom voted for his teacher, which is very cool and very well-deserved.
