Some of the extremely sweet nominations we received for the teacher in the poll above just remind you of how big of an impact our District 51 teachers have:

Kresta Christensen - Juniper Ridge Community School

  • Ms. Christensen is an amazing teacher for countless reasons! I've never seen her without a genuine smile on her face. She truly knows each of her students and wants the best for each of them.
  • Ms. Christensen deserves to be Teacher of the Month because she's nice. She never yells at us and she gives us extra recess

Jesse Hoisington - Fruita Monument High School

  • Hoisington has made such a big impact on my son this year. Every day my son has Mr. Hoisington, my son has a story to tell me about that class and what Mr. Hoisington did! I feel it’s very important for teachers to have positive impacts on these kids these days and Mr. Hoisington does just that!

Robin Thye - Dos Rios Elementary School

  • Mrs.Thye deserves to be a Teacher of the Month (teacher of the year honestly!) Because after teaching for over 30 years, she's retiring. She has a lifelong passion for helping kids fall in love with reading, and there hasn't been a weekend or school break that she's not been working on stuff for her classroom.
