We just got word that all City Market grocery locations will now be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

At this point we have a ton of closures throughout the Grand Junction community, click here to see the list. We also know that Governor Polis has prohibited onsite dining at all Colorado restaurants. Although there are still plenty of options for food, check out the long list of Grand Junction restaurants serving to-go orders by clicking here.

It seems like just about every occupation and employee has been affected by the spread of the Coronavirus (most specifically COVID-19). And now grocery stores are no different. We got the word that the grocery store giant Wal-Mart will not have stores open 24 hours a day right now, instead, they are switching to 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. until further notice. If your local store isn't normally 24 hours a day, they will be sticking with their normal hours of operations.

Also, Dollar General announced that the first hour of their stores being opened will be only for seniors who are needing to purchase essential items for themselves. This announcement was made after finding out that all the big stores are running low on supplies. Seniors are at higher risk of becoming infected by the Coronavirus and the special hour of shopping was created to help lower the risk for seniors in our community.

A big thank you to all grocery store employees right now trying hard to keep store shelves stocked for people in need of supplies and food.

**As more stores adjust their hours we will be updating this post.
