Just what are these paintings along the Riverfront Trail? Graffiti?

Don't call the police. It's a new program to encourage art.

The City of Grand Junction has teamed up with the Western Slope Latino Chamber and Hispanic Affairs Project to brighten up some areas of the Riverfront Trail.

Now, you have to realize I have absolutely ZERO artistic skills. Honestly, I can rarely complete a circle where the line matches up! So, it's pretty neat to see what kind of images people can create in their minds and then transfer them to an easel or in this case, a concrete wall that holds up a bridge.

Make sure to check out these murals. They are located under each overpass on the Riverfront Trail between Highway 50 and Redlands Parkway.
