"Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer" is dominating a ton of people's lives right now. The show focuses on California serial killer Richard Ramirez- or the Night Stalker.

As the crimes are many decades in the past, many people have never heard of Ramirez, despite his rise to infamy as the Night Stalker. There's also a whole generation that probably has never heard of him; which is why it should come as no surprise that, thanks to the Netflix docu-series "Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer", a whole new generation of people are just finding out Richard Ramirez was an ACTUAL person and not just a character created by Ryan Murphy for his anthology series "American Horror Story".

To recap, Richard Ramirez makes appearances in two seasons of the anthology series. We first see Ramirez in season five of "AHS: Hotel" and again in "AHS: 1984". The "1984" season features him more, and you even get his background story- which is pretty much real.

Many took to Twitter to express their disbelief at the fact that this character was a real person- who was much more sinister than how the show portrayed him.
