Police Looking for Information on Construction Equipment Heist
The Grand Junction Police Department is investigating the theft of a piece of construction equipment and is asking for help.
The missing piece of equipment is a 2003 Case 70XT Uni-Loader Skid Steer. It is orange and black with VIN number JAF0385962. The skid steer also had a red equipment sticker with X486074 on it.
According to a Crime Stoppers of Mesa County report, sometime between 3 p.m. Sunday, November 26, and 12 p.m. Monday, November 27, in the 2900 block of Broderick Way, suspects loaded the skid steer onto a white 1983 Butler tilt trailer with Colorado license plate 279-NQL.
The trailer and skid steer were towed off behind a GMC truck. The stolen equipment is worth about $25,000.
