Turns out there are cities in the United States that have much higher median credit scores than others. According to Wallet Hub in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the median credit score is 816. Whoa!!! In the Villages, Florida the median is 806. Right here in Colorado, the city of Monument has a median credit score of 784. In contrast, the lowest median credit score can be found in South Bend, Indiana is 448.

So what can you do to increase your credit score quickly? Howard University, Associate Professor Vaneesha Dutra says "the fastest way to increase your credit score is to consistently make on-time payments and adjust your debt balances to ideal credit utilization ratios."
