Montrose Celebrates Library Card Sign-Up Month With Cool Event

The Montrose Regional Library is hosting a special event and a chance to sign up or update library cards in honor of Library Card Sign-Up Month.

The event is Sunday (September 18) from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Montrose Regional Library Marguerite H. Gill Children's Room.

The free event will give kids from kindergarten through 5th grade an opportunity to sign up for a library card or update the card they already have.

Youngsters attending the event will also receive a lanyard for their library card and a free book donated by Altrusa International of Montrose.

Kids will also be able to meet and get their picture taken with Snoopy - aka Joe Cool - of 'Peanuts' comic fame.

Cookies and lemonade will also be served during the event.
