Montrose residents are invited to attend two free programs to help them get the facts about Alzheimer's Disease.

Alzheimer's Association Western Slope Director, Teresa Black, is hosting two programs at The Homestead of Montrose.

The first session is on March 21 and will cover the basics of the disease. Areas covered in this session include information on detection, possible risk factors, stages of the disease and treatment.

The second session on March 28 is designed to teach people skills that will help them properly deal with behaviors that are common with dementia and Alzheimer's Disease.

Both sessions are from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Persons wishing to attend one or both sessions are asked to RSVP by calling 970-256-1274.
