When rancher John Bartheld set out to breed what he considered the perfect cow, little did he know it would take seven years to accomplish it. John's miniature 'Panda Cow' named "Peanut" is so rare it's estimated there are only about 30 in the entire world.

The miniature calf weighed only 28 pounds at birth, quite small when you consider the average newborn calf typically weighs close to 100 pounds.

Peanut's sister Star, has similar markings but lacks the pure Panda Cow features of her brother.

John Bartheld says he's willing to sell the unique cow, if the price is right. Meantime, he's ready to try to see if he can breed another miniature Panda Cow
