Lyft’s Ski Rack Mode is Back and Coloradans Couldn’t Be More Excited
For skiers and riders in the Colorado high country, the trip to the mountain just got a whole lot smoother. Back for its second year, Lyft's "Ski Rack Mode" is now available to Coloradans in places like Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Snowmass, Steamboat Springs, Breckenridge, Copper, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Crested Butte, Telluride, Winter Park, Wolf Creek, and Granby, giving mountain-goers the opportunity to request a ride that can also take your skis or your snowboards along too. It definitely makes for a less stressful experience, not having to worry about loading up the car, driving in snowy conditions, or parking at the mountain. The service is also really convenient for mountain tourists who may not have a car.
When using Lyft, users will enter their destination like normal, and then select the ski rack option under ride type. Riders will be charged the normal fare plus $8 for usage of the ski rack. The vehicles can always accommodate either two snowboards or four sets of adult skis.
