KOOLest Car in the Downtown Grand Junction Car Show + Results
The annual car show in downtown Grand Junction brings out some of the coolest cars around and we get to pick the KOOLest car in the show.
Picking the "KOOLest" car in the show is a challenging task, with so many great automobiles to choose from. For this particular award, there is no specific criteria. It may be the uniqueness of the car, the beauty, the story - there's just not one certain thing we look for.
This year, the award for the KOOLest Car went to Charles Richmond from Sun City, Arizona for his 1959 Nash American.
Charles said he "rescued" this car from a shed in Montrose - and the transformation was remarkable. Typically, these cars are white or light green, but Charles went with the two-tone red and black, which really caught my eye. The result was a very unique look to a classic car, worthy of this year's KOOLest Car award.
It's always tough to narrow this award down to one. And you can see why. Here some of the other cars that were in the running for the KOOLest Car award.
