Despite having reopened the week before Thanksgiving last November, plenty of people still have no idea that Toys”R”Us is back in Grand Junction. The company liquidated U.S. stores in 2018 due to bankruptcy, and since taken the time to rebuild the right way with smaller-format mall stores and partnerships with Go! Retail Group. Now, they will close the space for a quick update to the layout and reopen it for the summer.
Why This Matters to Families — And What to Expect
Lots of us know how fun it can be growing up a Toys”R”Us kid, but it’s fun to be a Toys”R”Us parent or grandparent, too. The new store in Mesa Mall will feature lots of new toys by recognizable brands, a new interactive layout, and a shift from the big-box model. Shopping will be a fun trip down memory lane for adults, and a more hands-on experience for kids. The hope is that this experience helps bring more foot traffic back to Grand Junction’s mall.

For fans of Toys”R”Us, the remodel isn’t a goodbye; it’s a “see you soon.” Bigger and better than ever, too.
