The list of Grand Junction eateries we still miss today would have to include places like Main Street Café, famous for James Dean vibes before they closed in 2022. Bistro Italiano on Main offered handcrafted Italian food for about 25 years, and The Village Inn on Horizon Drive has rebranded to Taste of Chang'an.
Listeners tell me all the time they miss places like Shakey’s Pizza and WW Peppers. The absence of these favorites makes the long-standing restaurants we do have just a bit more precious.
