The Cereal Box Community Concert is Coming Back to Wellington
As a Wellington native, I love watching the town come together to help those in need in the community.
The Wellington Food Bank desperately needs donations, so they're hosting a very cool party to raise funds to stock its shelves.
It's the second annual Cereal Box Community Concert, and it's the perfect event for the entire family. It's happening at Centennial Park in downtown Wellington.
Here's what the event is all about
The event is put on by the Wellington American Legion Post 176, and it benefits not only the Wellington Food Bank but also raises awareness of the proposed Wellington Community Services Center.
The event is happening on Thursday, June 18th, from 6-8:30 PM at Centennial Park.
If you love music and love the 80's, this event is perfect for you. Denver-based That 80's Band will be performing hits from one of the best (in my humble opinion) decades of music. From Bon Jovi to Young DMC and Def Leapord.
Admission to the event is pretty reasonable: a $10 ticket donation and a box of cereal, and kids get in for free.
This is also a great opportunity to skip dinner prep at home (which I personally never want to do at the end of the day) because the event will have plenty of food trucks offering a wide range of options.
The event is sponsored in part by local Wellington businesses, Grace Village, Black Hills Energy & Noreen & Dennis Houska. So gather your entire family and jam out for a great cause. Tickets are available at Eventbrite.com
