This Northern Colorado Business Is Closing After 25 Years In The Community
Have you heard the news? The Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Fort Collins is closing its doors, and the reason why is understandable and far too common in this day and age.
The Habitat For Humanity ReStore has always been a solid go-to location for second-hand furniture and home items. Something that I've always thought was cool about this place is that the inventory changed every day. Need a gently used dishwasher? They might not have one today, but they might tomorrow.
Let's take a look at what you used to be able to shop for at the Habitat ReStore.
- Appliances
- Sofas
- Dining tables
- Bedroom furniture
- Doors and fixtures
- Paint
- Lighting fixtures
- Building materials
- Flooring and tile
This was always a great place to find cheap home improvement supplies.
And you could also donate things that you no longer use or need. Think Goodwill, but only things for the home. This place was truly a one-stop shop.
But the best part of the Habitat ReStore was that every donation went towards a Habitat for Humanity project in the community.
So why shutter the biz when using such a solid game plan? According to sources, there are actually a few reasons they have made the decision. The only info available is that they were just struggling with basic business operations.
So that's the word on the street. After more than 25 years in the community and having built 370 homes for folks in Northern Colorado, it's a sad day. But on the bright side, you have until December to get in and stock up.
