When was the last time you have been to the Denver Zoo? The zoo began back in 1896 in Colorado and continues to expand, grow, and evolve. If you live in Colorado, it might be time for you to make another trip.

The 84-acre zoo is not only one of the most entertaining zoos in the nation, but it also happens to be one of the most ethical.

This means that the Denver Zoo prioritizes the animal's well-being, health, and happiness more than making a profit. The Denver Zoo is well-run and incredibly entertaining.

Sting Ray Cove, an interactive experience at the Denver Zoo, began in 2020. Sting Ray Cove is interactive because there are a bunch of sting rays in shallow water. For an additional $5 per person, you can pet sting rays.

I gave in, paid a little more for food to feed the sting raw, and went to the Cove.

I have to admit, it was pretty awesome. The sting rays were extremely docile and social. You stick your hand in the water and they swim right up to you and they run their backs against your hand.

Yes, sting rays enjoy being pet. This is by far the most fun petting zoo in all of Colorado. I would highly recommend checking it out for any age!
