Ah spring. The time of year when I start to sneeze seemingly nonstop, and my world stops if I have forgotten to take my allergy pill. Growing up in Colorado, I don't ever remember having allergies. Then, one day, out of the blue, my eyes were itchy, my nose was snotty, and I sneezed every 30 seconds.

According to aafa.org, Colorado Springs has been ranked as one of the top allergy capitals in the United States for 2026. The top 20 list shows locations that are the most challenging to live with pollen allergies.

Colorado Springs ranked 15th overall, and Denver was a ways down on the list at number 30. Both Colorado Springs and Denver ranked worse than average scores when it came to overall pollen counts.
