Hospital in Grand Junction Wants Your COVID-19 Plasma

A hospital in Grand Junction is asking for people to donate their plasma if they've tested positive for COVID-19 and have had no symptoms in the last 14 days.

A Grand Junction hospital wants you to donate your plasma because it could help others with COVID-19. St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction is asking for convalescent plasma, which is 'a blood product from COVID-19 recovered patients' according to their Facebook.

The hospital in Grand Junction is asking for people who have tested positive for COVID-19 to donate. In order to donate you must have:

• Tested positive for COVID-19
• Have no symptoms for at least 14 days
• Have no symptoms for no more than 60 days

If you're interested in donating, you can contact the St. Mary's Blood Center at 970-298-2555. According to the FDA, convalescent plasma is currently being investigated as a treatment for COVID-19 because currently there is noa approved treatment and some information suggests that the plasma may help patients recover from COVID-19.
