Mesa County Sheriff Investigating Suspicious Death in Desert

Mesa County Sheriffs Department is investigating a suspicious death in the desert area near 34 and C Road.

Mesa County Sheriff Deputies responded to a call around 12:30 PM Sunday (February 23) that an adult male's body was inside a pick-up truck with an apparent self-inflicted gun wound.

After further investigation, suspicion rose that facts didn't support the initial report.

MSCO is treating the incident as a suspicious death, the name and manner of death will not be released pending outcome of the investigation and contacting next of kin.

The case remains under investigation, we will update this story as more information comes in.
