Traffic soared at Denver International Airport (DIA) this summer as they just experienced their busiest month ever.

The month of July saw 6.7 million people board flights, a 10% increase from the previous year. The busiest day of the month was July 29 which saw an airport record 227,497 passengers in a single day.

July was the busiest month ever for international travelers as well and had 29 days in the month that were busier than the overall busiest day in 2018.

According to their website, DIA is the 20th busiest airport in the world and fifth busiest in the United States. A total of 64.5 million people flew out of Denver in 2018 and the airport helps to contribute more than $26 billion to the regional economy annually.
