December's Teacher of the Month delivery meant a swarm of extremely excited kindergartners. Watch the swarm of excitement at Independence Academy in Grand Junction during our surprise delivery.

After checking in with the Principal of Independence Academy, we embarked on our surprise attack. I'd say we surprised Heather Meyer really good. We walked into her class shortly after it started -- the principal walked in first.

I'm sure this caused some confusion, and maybe even some panic, but then I softened the blow by walking in with balloons and lot of goodies.Honestly, how could anyone be upset when you walk in with balloons? Other than the beautiful bouquet of balloons, our teacher got a lot of goods -- note all the excitement. Heather Meyer received:

  • $50 gift card from Village Inn
  • Pizza and skating party for 30 at Spin City
  • 1-pound bag of Mesa Blend coffee and a $20 gift card from Colorado Legacy Coffee
  • An insulated drink tumbler from Carville's Automart and a $20 Starbucks gift card
  • 1-hour massage from Rimrock Wellness
  • A balloon bouquet from Elegant Balloon Creations

I had one student very enthusiastically ask me 'which channel are you on?,' and I replied 'I'm on Mix 104.3.' Then the kid said the most adorable and heart-warming thing I've ever heard:

Oh! I heard you on my daddy's truck!

Be still, my heart. That kid was adorable and I'd say his daddy is pretty cool too.
