A dog caught in the swift current of a raging river in Columbia is saved thanks to a daring rescue by two policemen.

The two officers who waded into the river put their own lives at risk in a daring move to catch the dog before it went further downstream.

Once back to shore, one of the policeman started mouth-to-mouth resuscitation while the other started rubbing the dog to keep it's heart going and to help clear the water from it's lungs.

Once revived, the officers provided additional medical attention before transporting the animal to a veterinarian.
