Colorado is One of the States Affected by Multi-Million Egg Recall
Colorado is one of the states that have been shipped eggs which are part of a recall due to the risk of salmonella poisoning.
More than 206 million eggs are being recalled from nine different states, including Colorado, due to 22 cases of reported salmonella poisoning which were traced back to an egg farm in North Carolina owned by Rose Acres Farms.
The eggs were being sold under various brand names including Coburn Farms, Country Daybreak, Crystal Farms, Food Lion, Glenview, Great Value, Loose, Nells, Sunshine Farms, Waffle House, and Country Farms. The eggs were sold in supermarkets and to restaurants.
The Food and Drug Administration says the eggs being recalled come from plant number P-1065 and lot codes 011-102. People who bought the eggs are asked to immediately stop using them and return them to the place where they were purchased or thrown away. Anyone with questions about whether their eggs are part of the recall can visit the FDA website or call Rose Acres Farms at 855-215-5730.
