A Colorado baby now has a second chance at life thanks to an organ donor, according to a KDVR report.

Greyson Ingham was born on August 23, 2018, with a rare infant liver disease called biliary atresia.

Without a life-giving gift from a stranger Greyson never would have a chance at life. After being on the transplant list for roughly 3 weeks the family received two calls.

The first call fell through, a month later they got another call and this time it all worked out.

Brandi Thornton is the donor that saved Greyson's life, in fact, this is her second time donating an organ which is a rare feat in itself. In Colorado, less than 10 people are living double donors.

According to the American Transplant Foundation, there are nearly 14,000 people on the waiting list for a liver transplant, as of August 2018.
