American Idol Audtions Coming to Grand Junction

The fulfillment of every dream starts somewhere, maybe even in Grand Junction. Aspiring musical artists will get the chance to show their stuff on Monday when the American Idol Small Town Auditions bus tour hits Grand Junction.

Tryouts should begin around 8am at Canyonview Park and will continue until about 4:00pm. Those auditioning should be prepared to prove they are U.S. Citizens or permanent residents, and that they were born between June 6, 1982 and June 5, 1997. Another stipulation is that contestants have a current representation agreement or recording contract.

To win American Idol may seem like the impossible dream, but anyone who has watched the show in recent years knows that having incredible talent is not necessarily a prerequisite to taking the title.
