This past weekend I spent a lot of time watching baseball seeing as how the season is just getting started. Normally the Major League Baseball season is 161 games, this year due to COVID-19 the season was only set to be 60 games but after it's opening weekend for the season one team has a COVID-19 outbreak.

The Miami Marlins were taking on the Philadelphia Phillies over this past weekend in Philadelphia and now eight players and two coaches have tested positive to the virus. Because of the outbreak, the whole team has decided to stay in Philadelphia and will continue to undergo testing.

Obviously, this story is just coming out but it's going to be interesting to see how Major League Baseball reacts to this situation. As the details were released online this morning you saw lots of fans immediately reacting by saying that they believe the season will be over after just four days of the season.

We haven't heard any reaction yet from Major League Baseball officials but it's going to be hard for the league to continue playing like this with more athletes being infected.

One thing has been decided and that is that the Miami Marlins home opener scheduled for tonight against the Baltimore Orioles has been canceled. It's very difficult to try and have a game seeing as how the Marlins are still in Philadelphia. No one knows when the team will be allowed to travel home at this point.

I was so excited to see live sports return but at this point, I wouldn't be shocked to see this MLB season over just four days after it started.
